About me
Hi, my name is Ben Fallaize, and this is my personal website. I am a website programmer in Guernsey, Channel Islands, and have been for nearly 8 years.
I have been developing bespoke PHP/MySQL websites for about 5 years now, and before that, I was a ColdFusion developer. I’ve also recently started dabbling in Perl. I use Dreamweaver CS3 (code view, natch) and Photoshop CS3 for everything. I have experience building, configuring and maintaining Windows web servers and have a little experience with Linux and Mac servers.
I have been interested in computers for a long time, starting with an Amiga 500+, where I started designing things in Deluxe Paint 3. After that, I got my first PC, and soon learned how to take them apart and put them back together.
After a brief spell of case modding and attending regular LAN parties at work to play Unreal Tournament and Counter-Strike, we all went our seperate ways and stopped gaming.
I’ve recently become a Mac user. I use a PC at work, but at home, I prefer the simpler life!
